Alexander Chkhaidze (Shosia) was a Georgian playwright, writer, and journalist, born on February 29, 1924, in Batumi. He was recognized as an Honored Artist of the Georgian SSR in 1983 and was a laureate of the State Prize in 1980. Chkhaidze served as the chairman of the Adjara Theatre Workers Union from 1974 to 1998, contributing significantly to Georgian arts and literature before passing away on January 27, 1998, in his hometown.
