Alexander Steele, born on February 25, 1941, is a Scottish former cricketer and architect originally from Rhodesia. He began his education at Prince Edward School in Salisbury before moving to Scotland for further studies at the Morgan Academy and Dundee College of Art. Steele became a partner at the architecture firm Baxter, Clark & Paul in 1975 and contributed significantly to hospital architecture. In cricket, he played as a wicket-keeper batsman for Scotland, featuring in fourteen first-class matches and scoring 621 runs, including a top score of 97 against Ireland.
