Carl Adolf Mathias Alexander von Rosen was a Swedish count and military officer born on March 17, 1942, in Flen. He became an officer in 1964, achieved the rank of captain in 1972, and was a major by 1975. He served with the United Nations in the Middle East from 1975 to 1976, later reaching the rank of lieutenant colonel in 1983. Rosen was the commander of the Livgardets dragoner from 1984 to 1988 and became a teacher at the Military Academy in 1988, retiring from service in 1992.
