Alexandru Biriș Dorhoi is a Romanian composer from Northern Transylvania. He began studying violin at the age of six and continued his education in Bucharest and Bistrița. Dorhoi won three national composition awards and served in the Bistrița Military Band until his retirement. He founded music bands and collaborated with several musical groups, mentoring various vocal and instrumental soloists. Since 2006, he has been a member of the Romanian Union of Composers and Musicologists. He currently resides in Budești-Fânațe and supports youth musical activities.
