Alexandru Mazăre is a former Romanian politician and member of the Romanian Parliament. Born on January 2, 1972, in Bucharest, he is the brother of Radu Mazăre, former mayor of Constanța. He was the general director of Soti Cable Neptun SRL from 1996 to 2004 and was elected a municipal councilor in Constanța in June 2004. Later, he was elected as a deputy and served as a senator in two consecutive legislatures from 2008 to 2016. He faced legal charges in 2016 for complicity in bribery and false statements.
