Alexandru Pesamosca was a prominent Romanian surgeon and pediatrician, notably serving at the Marie Sklodovska-Curie Hospital in Bucharest. Over his career, he performed more than 50,000 surgeries on children, making significant contributions to pediatric medicine in Romania and abroad. Born in Constanța in 1930, he graduated from high school in 1948 and obtained his MD in 1954. In addition to his medical work, he was involved in the establishment of the Cuviosul Stelian și Sfântul Nicolae-Brâncoveanu Church. He passed away on September 1, 2011, at the age of 81.
