Alexandru Sever (born Solomon Zilberman on January 22, 1921, in Moinesti, Romania) was a Romanian-Israeli writer and playwright. He wrote in Romanian and made significant contributions to literature before immigrating to Israel in 1990. A member of the Romanian Writers' Union from 1955, he also became part of the association of Israeli writers in Romanian. Sever had a prolific career, with notable works including 'Don Juan Apocalipticul' and 'Cartea morţilor.' He passed away on May 13, 2010, in Beer Sheva.
