Alexei Korobeynikov was a Ukrainian and Russian biathlete born on May 12, 1978, in Achinsk, Soviet Union. He started his international career competing for Russia, winning gold in relay at the Junior World Championships in 1997. After switching to represent Ukraine, Korobeynikov secured numerous accolades, including gold in the sprint at the 2003 European Championships. He competed in the Olympics and World Championships, achieving notable results. Following his retirement, he served as a coach, but tragically died in a car accident in May 2014, two months after the accident.
