Alexius Obabu Makozi was a Nigerian Roman Catholic bishop born on February 15, 1932, and died on January 16, 2016. He was ordained as a priest on January 6, 1961, for the Apostolic Prefecture of Kabba. Appointed as Auxiliary Bishop of Lokoja in 1971, he became the Bishop of Lokoja in 1972 and later served as Bishop of Port Harcourt from 1991 until his retirement in 2009. Makozi was notable for his ecclesiastical leadership and contributions to the church in Nigeria.
