Over his four-decade artistic career, he worked in various fields including visual arts, film, opera, performance, theater, and television, and was recognized as one of the most prominent puppeteers in Mexico and around the world. He also served as a restorer and collector, contributing significantly to the arts. Alfín passed away on April 4, 2009.
