He performed feats such as piercing needles through his cheeks and swallowing long swords, eschewing shorter swords. Notably, he acknowledged an audience record of 38 fainting spells during a performance in Helsingborg. In the mid-1940s, he famously allowed himself to be crucified in Jokkmokk, dressed only in a loincloth. He also appeared in the film Johansson och Vestman (1946).
