Alfonso Iglesias López de Vívigo (1910-1988) was a renowned Asturian draftsman and painter, famous for creating characters such as Pinón, Telva, and Pinín. He worked as a watercolorist and held various exhibitions across Asturias, León, Madrid, and Mexico. After the Spanish Civil War, he collaborated with La Nueva España, where his popular characters emerged. He was also one of the founders of the Sociedad Ovetense de Festejos and worked in Madrid as a cartoonist. He returned to Asturias in the 1980s and continued his artistic contributions until his death.
