Alfonso Carlos Santisteban Gimeno (1943-2013) was a Spanish composer, arranger, producer, and orchestra conductor renowned for his work mainly in cinema. He composed soundtracks for over fifty films and worked on television series including 'La Barraca' and 'Canyes i fang'. He also created theme music for TVE programs like 'Aplauso' and 'Bla, Bla, Bla'. In the 1990s, part of his discography was reissued by Subterfuge. He published a book in 1995 titled 'El mundo del espectáculo y la madre que lo parió', updated in 2004. He passed away due to cancer in 2013.
