Alfonso Sorribes Teixidó was a Claretian religious born on December 17, 1912, in Rocafort de Vallbona. He is venerated as a Blessed by the Catholic Church. At the age of 12, he joined the Claretian school in Cervera, later studying in Barbastre, Vic, and Solsona. He was executed by anarchist militia at the beginning of the Spanish Civil War along with his community companions. At the time of his death, he was an acolyte and had completed the fourth year of Theology. He was beatified on October 25, 1992.
