Notably, he contributed to the construction of the 2m Universal Reflector Telescope inaugurated on October 19, 1960. Despite not completing his university education, Jensch became an internationally recognized expert in his field, leading the creation of various astronomical devices and inspiring a dedicated team of designers throughout his career.
