He emigrated to the USA in 1950 and worked various jobs before becoming a real estate agent. After the opening of Lithuanian archives, his US citizenship was revoked due to his past, leading to his deportation in 2003. He was accused of war crimes and faced trial in Lithuania but did not serve jail time due to his age.
