Ali Hassan al-Jaber (July 9, 1955 - March 12, 2011) was a Qatari photographer and head of photography at Al Jazeera. He held a Bachelor's and Master's degree in cinematography from the Academy of Arts in Cairo. He was killed in an ambush while covering the 2011 Libyan uprising in the Al-Hawari area south-west of Benghazi. Al-Jaber is noted for being the first journalist to be killed since the uprising began.
