Alicia R. Chacón is an American politician born on November 11, 1938. She is notable for being a pioneer in El Paso, Texas, where she was the first woman elected to the local government as county clerk in 1974. Additionally, she was the first Hispanic woman to serve on the Ysleta Independent School District Board and as an alderman in El Paso. Furthermore, she became the first woman and first Hispanic person in a century to serve as a judge in the El Paso area. A school is named in her honor.
