Alim Markus is an Indonesian businessman and owner of Maspion Group. Born on September 24, 1951, he has been the President Director of Maspion Group since 1971. He studied management in Taiwan and was appointed Honorary Consul in Canada in 1995. During Abdurrahman Wahid's presidency, he served on the National Economic Recovery Council and was also Vice Chairman of the East Java Chamber of Commerce. Under Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, he joined SBY's presidential campaign team and was a member of the Presidential Economic Council.
