Alina Goreac is a former Romanian artistic gymnast born on September 28, 1952, in Lugoj. She began gymnastics in her hometown after earlier pursuits in swimming and ballet. Goreac was part of the Romanian national team from 1969 to 1979 and competed internationally, earning multiple medals at European Championships and participating in the 1972 Olympics. After retiring from competition, she served as a judge and coach until 2011, gaining recognition for her contributions to gymnastics and being named honorary citizen of Lugoj in 2007.
