Allan Elliott McDonald was an Australian politician born on December 10, 1903, in Geelong. He practiced law after studying at Geelong High School and Geelong College. He served in World War II and was elected to the Victorian Legislative Council as a Country Party member in 1940. After a split from the Country Party, he joined the Liberal Party in 1948, serving as Minister of Labour and later on State Development. He retired from politics in 1952 and passed away on October 16, 1957.
