Allen B. Worley is a retired Rear Admiral in the U.S. Merchant Marine and a former Captain in the U.S. Navy. He served as the tenth Superintendent of the United States Merchant Marine Academy from 2008 until his resignation in 2009. A 1974 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he holds degrees in physics, business administration, and national security. Prior to joining the USMMA, he was Superintendent of the Texas Maritime Academy. He was instrumental in maritime education and training during his career.
