Allen Irvine McHose (1902-1986) was an American musicologist, educator, and organist. He served as the associate director of the Eastman School of Music, where he headed the Department of Music Theory and was a professor. McHose established the Arranger’s Holiday concert series as the director of the school's summer music program. In addition, he was an organist and choirmaster at the Brick Presbyterian Church. He published several works on music history and theory, including books on composition techniques and manuals for sight-singing and dictation.
