Almir Chediak (June 21, 1950 – May 26, 2003) was a Brazilian guitarist, composer, and music producer. He studied under Dino 7 Cordas and began his musical career composing soundtracks for films. Among his students were notable artists like Nara Leão, Gal Costa, and Moraes Moreira. He became known for editing and publishing significant songbooks featuring works by prominent Brazilian musicians such as Ary Barroso, Caetano Veloso, and Tom Jobim. Tragically, Chediak was kidnapped and murdered in 2003.
