Altemio C. Sanchez, also known as the Bike Path Rapist and later Killer, was a Puerto Rican serial killer who committed his crimes in and around Buffalo, New York, from 1975 to 2006. He was responsible for the rapes and murders of at least three women, alongside the sexual assaults of 9 to 15 additional victims. Captured in 2007 via DNA evidence, Sanchez was sentenced to 75 years-to-life in prison. He served 16 years before his death on September 22, 2023.
