Alwyn D. Rees (27 March 1911 – December 1974) was a Welsh academic and editor known for his contributions to literature and sociology. He gained recognition as a university lecturer and as the editor of the magazine Barn. Rees authored several books, notably 'Life in a Welsh Countryside', which focused on sociological aspects of village life. He was involved in the promotion of the Welsh language and culture and edited 'Yr Einion/The Welsh Anvil' from 1949 to 1958, before taking over as editor of Barn in 1966.
