Amado Alejandro Ascasso Trincado was a Basque industrialist and politician born on February 8, 1927, in Vitoria. He began his career working as a butcher before joining the Socialist Group of Álava in 1975. He served as Deputy Mayor of Vitoria and Secretary of the General Councils of Álava from 1979 to 1983. Ascasso Trincado was also a senator for Álava during the Spanish general elections of 1982, 1986, and 1989, where he held key positions in various commissions.
