Amber Thomas is a former Canadian swimmer born on November 17, 1993. She became visually impaired due to a brain tumor at the age of ten and competes in the S11 disability class. Thomas made her Paralympic debut at fifteen in the 2008 Summer Paralympics without medal success. However, she gained recognition by winning two medals at the London 2012 Paralympics, securing a bronze in the 200 m individual medley and a silver in the 400 m freestyle. Currently retired, she aspires to pursue animal massage and possibly equestrianism.
