Amine El Khatmi is a French politician born on December 24, 1987, in Avignon. A member of the Socialist Party since 2003, he served as a municipal councilor in Avignon and community counselor for Grand Avignon from 2014 to 2020. In 2016, he co-founded the Printemps républicain and presided over it from 2017 to 2023. Although he identifies as left-leaning, he has been accused of aligning with extreme-right ideas. In March 2024, he was appointed laïcité advisor to the president of the Île-de-France region, Valérie Pécresse.
