Amir Nojan, born in 1980 in Shiraz, Iran, is a noted Persian traditional Setar player. Beginning his music studies at twelve, he has been tutored by masters such as Ustad Dariush Talai and Ustad Jalal Zolfonoon. Since 1998, he has directed Nava Ensemble and performed extensively across Iran, Europe, and the U.S. In December 2011, he lectured on Setar's history at Stanford University. He founded the Shiraz Arts Academy in California in 2012, aiming to educate students in Persian music and arts.
