Amir Taheri is an Iranian journalist born on June 9, 1942, in Ahvaz. He served as the editor-in-chief of the daily newspaper Kayhan in Iran from 1972 until 1979. He has authored 13 books and has been writing a weekly column for the Middle East newspaper since 1987. Currently, he resides in the United Kingdom.
