Amrullah Saleh is an Afghan politician born on October 15, 1972. He has served as the First Vice President of Afghanistan and was previously the Minister of Interior until January 19, 2019. Saleh led the National Directorate of Security from 2004 until his resignation in 2010. He was also a member of the Northern Alliance led by Ahmad Shah Masoud and established a pro-democracy movement against the Taliban after his tenure in intelligence. In March 2017, he was appointed by President Ashraf Ghani as the Minister of State for Security Reforms.
