Anand Chand av Bilaspur was raja of the princely state of Bilaspur from 1927 until 1948. He ascended to the throne at a young age after his father's abdication. Educated at Mayo College, he was skeptical about the unification of Bilaspur with surrounding states during India's independence in 1947. He eventually signed the accession document on August 15, 1948. After losing power, he engaged in Indian politics, serving in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Anand Chand passed away on November 15, 1983, and was succeeded by his son Kirti Chand.
