Ananda Chandra Dutta (February 8, 1923 - January 16, 2016) was an internationally recognized botanist from Assam. He was involved in tea classification, morphology, anatomy, and cytology. Dutta started his career as a teacher at Moriyoni Middle English School in 1944-45 and joined Tokolai Tea Research Centre in 1947. In 1977, he played a key role in establishing a tea museum in Jorhat. He authored several research books on botany and published the first Assamese book on photography in 1980.
