Anastasia Kotanidou is a Greek physician from Chorygi, Kilkis, who served as Minister of Health in the caretaker government of Ioannis Sarmas in 2023. During the COVID-19 pandemic in Greece, she was a member of the Ministry of Health's expert committee and president of the committee for designing new intensive care unit beds. Born and raised in Sofia, Bulgaria, she graduated from the Sofia Medical School and moved to Greece in the 1980s. She specialized in pneumonology and critical care medicine, and is currently an associate professor at the University of Athens.
