Anatoly Ivanovich Dombrovsky (December 12, 1934, or 1934, Keret) was a Soviet and Ukrainian writer, prose author, and editor, as well as a public figure in Crimea. He was recognized as a Honored Artist and received the literary prize named after N.Z. Biryukov in 1975. Dombrovsky was a three-time laureate of the State Prize of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and was awarded the Tolstoy Prize in 1997 and the international Platonov Prize in 2000. He passed away on October 17, 2001, in Simferopol.
