Anatoly Andreïevitch Sitnikov was the deputy chief engineer assigned to operate reactors 1 and 2 at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant during the nuclear accident. Due to the lethal doses of radiation he received, he was urgently sent to a hospital in Moscow, where he died on May 30, 1986.
