Anders Bye was a Norwegian author and playwright, born in Øvre Eiker. He made his literary debut in 1958 with the work 'Vår unge glede'. Over the years, he published several notable works including a four-volume series about the character Sara from 1973 to 1979, 'Mannen som ville bli menneske' in 1982, 'Hyggepianisten' in 1985, and 'Ute' in 1998. Bye contributed significantly to Norwegian literature until his passing in 2009.
