He was exiled in 1936 and was a prominent advocate for the Basque culture, contributing significantly to Basque theater. Politically, he aligned with the Jeltzale ideology and actively supported the independence of Lasarte, serving as the treasurer of the local Jeltzale association. He passed away in Caracas on December 6, 1989.
