André Buzin is a Belgian artist born in 1946 in Dinant, known for his paintings of animals and flowers. Famous for his bird series, a permanent stamp series in Belgium, he designed his first stamps for Zaire in 1984, and created several series for Rwanda and Mauritania. Since 1985, Belgian Post has issued stamps from Buzin's bird series, earning him around ten philatelic art awards in Belgium, including the prestigious Prix du Roi in 1995. Since the late 1990s, he has also designed stamps featuring flowers for Belgian stamp booklets and rolls.
