André Markgraaff is a former South African rugby player and a controversial rugby coach. He matriculated from Diamantveld High School in Kimberley in 1974. In 1997, he was forced to resign after being caught on a listening device using the 'K-word'. He led the Griquas to victory in the Vodacom Cup in 1998 and coached the Cats in SuperRugby. Later, he returned to rugby administration, serving as the Deputy President of SARFU and chairing its technical committee.
