André Mergenthaler, born André Mergen on February 17, 1957, in Péiteng, is a Luxembourgish musician and composer. He studied clarinet before switching to saxophone and eventually cello at prestigious institutes including the Conservatoire de Metz, Paris, and Hochschule für Musik in Cologne. Mergenthaler performed with Art Zoyd across Europe and the USA, later becoming a solo cellist and active in Brigade d'intervention musicale. He notably scored music for films and performed live interpretations, including the film Nosferatu in 2002. He was nominated for Best Artistic Contribution at Luxembourg Film Prize in 2004.
