Andrea Sigríður Jónsdóttir, born on April 7, 1949, in Selfoss, is a prominent Icelandic radio personality and DJ, often referred to as the 'rock grandmother of Iceland'. She completed her schooling at Menntaskólinn í Reykjavík and briefly studied English at the University of Iceland. In 1972, Andrea began her career as a proofreader at Þjóðviljinn and later hosted her own program on Rás 2 starting in 1984. She also plays music at Dillon on weekends and received a prestigious award for promoting Icelandic music.
