He has a political background in the Liberals and has worked as a consultant at the communication agency Intellecta. Ericson served as the CEO of the social magazine Neo and was also the head of the media institute at the think tank Timbro. Since February 2021, he is the editor for the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet's podcast Ledarredaktionen and a recurring writer for the newspaper's editorial board.
