Andrei Andreevich Rikhter was a Soviet entomologist and zoologist born on March 13 or 26, 1911 in Saint Petersburg, Russian Empire. He became a biologist in 1945 and was appointed a professor in 1947. Rikhter is known for his contributions to the fields of entomology and zoology. He passed away on June 22, 1950, in Leningrad, Russian SFSR, USSR. He was the father of Andrei Rikhter.
