He has been composing for various artists since the mid-1980s and released his debut album featuring his own vocals in 1996. Kossinski was initially set to represent Russia in the Eurovision Song Contest 1996 with his pop song 'Ja eto ja' but was eliminated in the qualifying round. He has composed songs for notable artists such as Valery Leontiev and Stas Piekha, among others.
