Andrej Hočevar, born on June 2, 1931, is a Slovene agrometeorologist and professor of biometeorology at the Biotechnical Faculty in Ljubljana. He graduated in meteorology in 1954 and received his doctorate in 1965. Hočevar has worked in applied meteorology and climatology, focusing on agronomy, forestry, and energy. Over his career, he has authored more than 70 scientific and professional publications, along with two textbooks. He has also been involved in academic collaborations at universities in Berlin, Uppsala, and Pennsylvania.
