Andrej Peter (1912-2003) was a Slovak medallist and sculptor associated with the Kremnica Mint, where he worked from 1937 until retirement in 1978. He served as the head of Kremnica's sculptors from 1952. Peter designed a variety of Czechoslovak and Slovak coins, historical coin replicas, and foreign coins, creating hundreds of medals and insignia. Notably, he was the main designer of the first Polish circulation coins post-World War II in 1949, with designs that continued through 1990.
