He served as the president of the Spanish chapter of the Internet Society from 2009 to 2017. He is recognized for his work on the history of the Internet and its creators, having conducted personal interviews with over 350 pioneers in the field. In late 2014, he was appointed as the Digital Champion for Spain, advocating for the digitalization of administrations, businesses, and citizens. In 2017, he received the Premio Nacional a la Trayectoria Personal en Internet.
