Andrew John McWalter Millar is a distinguished Scottish chronobiologist, systems biologist, and molecular geneticist, currently a professor at The University of Edinburgh. He holds the chair of systems biology and is recognized for his significant work in plant circadian biology. Millar pioneered the application of luciferase imaging to identify circadian mutants in Arabidopsis in Steve Kay's lab and linked the ELF4 gene with the circadian regulation of flowering time. His contributions earned him election as a Fellow of the Royal Society in 2012 and the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 2013.
